By car:
The Dover ferry terminal is approximately 1 mile from Dover town centre and is easily accessible from both the M2 and M20 motorways. As you approach Dover follow the local signs for the ferry terminal. On entering the port, keep to the left, joining the 'Vehicles with Reservations' lane to the check-in booths.
For customers to Calais who wish to leave a car in Dover, ample short and long stay parking is available at the main multi-storey car park at the entrance to the port. Free 'stop-off' parking in front of the Travel Centre is restricted to fifteen minutes. All parking is operated by the Dover Harbour Board.
By train:
The nearest main line train is Dover Priory which is about 1.5 miles from the port and approximately 2 hours from both London Victoria and Charing Cross. A regular foot passenger shuttle bus operates from the station and the ferry terminal between 7am and 8:40pm and costs just £2 per person each way. This service is operated by P&O Ferries, but is open to all passengers.
By coach:
National Express operates a regular service to the ferry terminal for all departures and arrivals. The journey takes around 2hrs 30mins from London Victoria, stopping directly outside the Travel Centre.
When Planning your Dover crossing and travelling during peak times, it is recommended you arrive in plenty of time for your ferry crossing. The ferries run to a busy timetable. You must pass through both British and French immigration prior to check-in, you need to allow plenty of time for these checks.
